Being used to treat symptoms of acute diarrhea in adults and infants (more than 3 months of age), Redotil Sachet 1 gm belongs to a group of antidiarrheal medicines called 'oral enkephalinase inhibitors'. When diarrhea cannot be treated casually, Racecadotril Sachet 1 gm should be used along with dietary measures and abundant liquid intake and administered as a complementary treatment. RACECADOTRIL...10MG/1GM works by decreasing the number of salts and water secreted into the intestine, thereby making the stools less watery, and is a prodrug that breaks down into thiorphan. Hence without interrupting change in bowel movement time it helps in controlling diarrhea.

How to use RACECADOTRIL...10MG/1GM?

You can take RACECADOTRIL...10MG/1GM both with or without food. Do not chew or break the tablet and you can consume the tablet form of RACECADOTRIL...10MG/1GM and swallow it as a whole glass of water. Using the measuring cup provided with the pack, the liquid form of Redotil Sachet 1 gm should be taken by mouth, and also do not forget to shake the pack well before each use. If you are consuming granule/powder form of RACECADOTRIL then try mixing it in a glass of water or milk and consume immediately

Expert Advice for Racecadotril 10 MG/1 GM

With an oral rehydration solution (ORS), Racecadotril should be used to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement.
If you have blood and pus in the stools or fever, don’t use Racecadotril. This may need different treatment and may be due to bacterial infection.
Do not take RACECADOTRIL for more than 7 days.
If you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems inform your doctor.
If you have uncontrolled vomiting, do not use Racecadotril.
